Mountain Bike Week, Ride N' Bike - 3 to 9 July
Méribel dedicates an entire week to Mountain Biking for all the family in this early-season warm up for the finals of the French Mountain Biking Cup, held 20 to 22 August. Take part in the Freebike, and enjoy the various outings, courses and entertainments held throughout the Méribel valley.
- 3 & 4 July: 3 (Vallées) Mountain Bike, an event for everybody who enjoys riding a bike, whether with friends, family or solo. On these two days, over 1000 cyclists gather in the 3 Valleys for the Free Bike and Rando Tour.
- 5 to 9 July: children’s introduction to mountain biking, introduction to downhill, demonstrations, contests.
Women’s French Fly Fishing Championships - 3 July

Wellbeing and Gastronomy Week - 11 to 16 July
-11 to 13 July: 17th Drive des Gourmets competition
- Throughout the week: a variety of discovery walks, foraging, gourmet and Nordic walking tours are scheduled.
Air & Wind Week - 17 to 23 July
A week-long celebration of the air, wind and kites.
We may be far from the windswept beaches of the North, but here in the mountains you will also find the wind and kites.
Our kite-building workshops, supervised by professional kite-makers, may spark a life-long passion or even a career. Or you may just enjoy the spectacle of airships and mini-hot air balloons floating in the skies above Méribel. Also, don’t miss the wind garden with its hundreds of multicoloured windmills. Events take place at la Chaudanne and Méribel-Mottaret.
Workshops on offer:
- Kite making
- Model aircraft making
- Flying School
- Wind-Garden: a garden consisting of hundreds of multicoloured windmills
- Kite-flying shows
- Demonstration of airships and mini-hot air balloons.
Music'Air Week - 26 to 30 July
Enjoy a wide-ranging musical programme from a variety of groups. Music will be performed on the streets of Méribel, on restaurant and bar terraces at lunchtime, and at the end of the afternoon as you return from a day on the mountain.
- A free drink for 2 persons will be offered at each concert
Heritage Week - 2 to 9 August
This week the Méribel Valley, which enjoys an exceptional wooded environment and a remarkable Cembro pine forest, will highlight its wood industry and all those involved in it. Throughout the week free walks will be on offer with local mountain guides and National Forestry guides.
This event will reveal all the riches of the valley’s wood industry, with its sawmill, the Tuéda Nature Reserve with its Cembro pines, mill etc., aiming to support and promote the use of local wood and highlight the Savoy forest.
Two major events take place this week:
- 4 to 6 August: "Alpes Home" decoration salon, the first show dedicated to mountain decoration and living
- 8 August: 40th Fanfoué Fête (Les Allues village fete)
Stars Week - 9 to 13 August
A week for star-gazing. Méribel is often visited by stars ... but those you spot this week will all be in the skies!
In addition to lectures and day and night time observations given by the Breuillet Astronomy Club, many different entertainments in the form of workshops are scheduled from Monday to Friday:
- Rocket construction (minimum age 6 years )
- Satellite construction (minimum age 8 years
- GPS Rally
- Travelling planetarium where you can learn more about the stars and constellations
- "Space Matters" Exhibition
Magic Méribel Week - 15 to 20 August
One of the most beautiful magic festivals in France, welcoming a host of international artists selected by the famous magicians Dominique Webb and Miredieu.
Magic Méribel offers a week of illusion with a succession of fabulous performances and workshops where you can develop existing skills or learn your first tricks.
The programme includes spectacular shows, illusions and all the elements that have made Méribel’s Festival of Magic internationally renowned:
- Shows every evening at 20.30
- Free show for children (Wednesday 18 August at 17.00)
- "Close up" evening (Friday 20 August)
- Street theatre and circus-themed entertainment will be performed throughout the week at different sites in the valley.
- Magic Méribel Awards Night, which honours Méribel’s fantastic magicians and other talented performers.
- Closing Gala: a jury of celebrities from the world of illusion award “Merlins” to the best magicians of the year.
- Apprentice magicians can join workshops on circus skills, mime and magic throughout the week. Marco Calendri (Italian illusionist and circus artist) and Bertox (magic school) will host 4-day training courses for children comprising 2 hours in the morning and 2 hours in the afternoon. A public show will be performed at the end of the course by the children and their instructors (€50 for 4 days).

French Mountain Biking Cup Final - 20 to 22 August
Downhill, Trials and Cross country events: three days of training and competitions in Méribel at the Chaudanne.
A spectacular event with nearly 1,300 competitors, 65 teams of all disciplines, and an official village of 6,000 m².
For the Cross Country, Trials and Downhill events, competitors will set out from the resort centre at la Chaudanne onto routes that are accessible to spectators so they can admire the mountain bikers’ prowess. The descent has a vertical drop of 500 metres; the cross-country is held over six kilometres in three loops that pass through the resort centre with a total climb of 220 meters.
Golf Week, Méribel Golf Show - 23 to 28 August
Golf is enjoyed throughout summer in Méribel, but during Méribel Golf Show week the sport is particularly celebrated by the resort.
This is an opportunity to participate in competitions of international scope, such as the Pro-Am (27-28 August), that brings together top players and well-known sporting figures. Around one hundred participants will come to do battle on the greens, in teams of four people including one Pro. There will also be a unique opportunity to play night-time golf under the stars, in a magical and exceptional atmosphere.
This year for the first time an Alliance competition will be organized over four days with more than 60 teams of one pro and one amateur, from 23 to 26 August.

- 27 & 28 August: Pro-Am de Méribel
